News I've updated my site today - guess who was the first winner of the jigsaw competition! Still 9 more to go if anyone else wants one! I've made a few changes. Mostly cutting and pasting on here. On my site I put a couple of pictures on Photo bucket and hot linked to them - that gives me a full 1 Mb of space to play with. Why use my 15 Mb of space when I can use someone else's! I'll end up with 1000 pages all hot linked to servers around the world - by the time they load Ray will just about be finishing his jigsaw!
Webmaster community a good idea? To add that link I right clicked to add a hyperlink and then made it open in a new window. Although, now with Internet Explorer 7 you can hold down ctrl and click links to open them in a new tab. I'm about to do something similar to that in FrontPage. I'll hold down ctrl and click Home Page and go to the Home Page to edit that - but first - click ctrl-s to save this one! Tip Right click on your task bar and you can Tile windows vertically or horizontally - then it's easy to drag and drop files from one folder to another. You can even use Windows Explorer as an FTP program. You type ftp:// instead of http:// enter your log in details and it then tells you to click page to edit. You actually click view and then edit with Windows explorer. Then you can have the files on your server on the right and the files in your web folder on the left. Just as you would with a FTP program - but a lot cheaper! I also tile windows if I want to move files from my laptop to my desktop - over the wireless link through the router. You also right click your task bar to get task manager - that can be useful to see what your computer is up to. I had problems with sound all day yesterday. But it was intermittent. When the sound went funny - my CPU showed 100% on task manager. It turned out my Google toolbar was overloading the CPU indexing my hard drive. Incidentally, the Google toolbar with sidebar gives me the latest news from CNN and Reuters, babes from Hot or Not, My IP, My signal strength for wireless, battery strength and lots more. I could get a picture of Jordan strips from the Sexy Babes blog - but I know that wouldn't interest the intellectual readers on this site! lol Good news - after a big problem with the site I think I recovered the soccer video! On the video on the right click the rewind button!
